Ultrasound is a very useful diagnostic tool that utilizes sounds waves through a specialized probe to project real-time images or videos of our patient’s organs onto a display screen. This modality allows the veterinarians to see within the organs and body cavities of our patients.
It aids in differentiating between normal and abnormal findings so that a diagnostic plan can be developed.
RADIOLOGY:
An x-ray (radiograph) is a noninvasive diagnostic test that aids in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. Our Digital Vet-Ray machine delivers images in seconds and offers lower exposure of radiation. These pictures can then be reviewed by our Veterinarians and electronically sent to board-certified radiologists for consultation and review.
